RICS Homebuyer Survey and Valuation Report
A Homebuyer Survey and Valuation provides an economical yet concise report covering all aspects of the property, services and site. It focuses on defects and other problems which are considered urgent or significant and which would affect the value of the property. The main objective is to assist the prospective homebuyer to make a reasoned and informed judgement on whether or not to proceed with the purchase. A market valuation is included.
Building Survey (formerly called a Structural Survey)
A Building Survey is a comprehensive and detailed report covering all aspects of the property, services and site and focuses on technical information on construction and materials as well as details of the whole range of defects, those affecting value as well as maintenance issues. This survey is particularly suitable for listed buildings, older and unusual properties; properties in need of renovation. The report and inspection can be tailored to address particular areas of concern.
